Every few years Consumer Reports tests a variety of products from major window manufacturers. They evaluate national brands of vinyl, wood and fiberglass windows for wind and rain resistance.
In the October issue of their magazine they published the findings from their 2014 testing. Among the test specimens were the Weather Shield EnduraShield and the Weather Shield Aspire Series double hung windows. Both products performed extremely well, especially in rain resistance, which measures the ability of a window to keep out heavy, wind-driven rain. They placed 3rd and 4th overall in the wood category respectively, with EnduraShield receiving a "Best Buy" designation.
Consumer Reports did not choose to test our Premium Series or Signature Series Aluminum Clad Wood Windows. However, it should be noted that these are manufactured from a similar product design platform as those that were tested.
At Weather Shield Windows and Doors, our goal is to manufacture the best products available anywhere. We strive to make our innovation, quality, efficiency, features and options second to none. We are proud to receive this recognition, and have thanked our vast team of dedicated employees for achieving this honor.
